For the first-time ever, the Olympics featured a PRIDE
house; a safe place for gay and lesbian athletes, coaches,
family, friends and allies to gather in a safe, comfortable environment.
The 2010 Olympics had PRIDE house Vancouver and PRIDE house Whistler.
They were open and featured many events during the Olympic and Paralympic
Winter Games in Canada. We created a colour web site full of valuable
resources about homophobia in sport. It was built in DotNetNuke, enabling
the organizers to update the site easily. |

PHE Canada developed a series of Fundamental Movement
Skills books and videos to aid generalist, physical education specialists
and community coaches in teaching fundamental motor and sport skills
in an effective and interactive way. The FMS
store promotes the resources and allows teachers to purchase
the materials in a variety of packages, conveniently online. |

Physical Literacy is an important new concept, serving
as the foundation for not only participation in sport, but also for
lifelong participation in physical activities and recreation. PHE
Canada needed a micro site to promote and educate on concept of Physical
Literacy. |

A whole new look and feel for Synchro
Canada. The www.synchro.ca
site now reflects the organization, which is innovative and artistic.
The site is built on a content management system for easy updating
by the staff. |

Field Hockey Canada
needed a new look for their web site with with a greater visual impression
of the sport. They also wanted control over more parts of the site
and the content. |

Equine
Canada needed a web site to incorporate its 12 disciplines,
all of its sport programs and drive its membership. And it needed
to be able to update all of the main site/sub sites' content easily.
This was accomplished with a customized content management system. |

AstraZeneca Canada and Physical and Health Education
Canada (PHE Canada) recently launched a groundbreaking children’s
wellness initiative called At
My Best™ . It is aimed at improving the health
and well-being of Canadian children, with a unique school-based program
that focuses on three key areas of wellness: physical, nutritional
and emotional health. |

Coaching
Association of Canada
In a major effort to improve services to coaches and parents, CAC
unveiled a redesigned Web site in December. John Bales, President
and CEO of CAC said, "Volunteer coaches are one of our most valuable
resources. We need to make sure they are properly equipped to offer
our kids a positive sport experience. New site features include:
- a searchable database of more than 200 tips,
- 100 frequently asked questions about CAC,
- a new NCCP Development and Sharing Zone.

The Honourable Marie-Paule (Charette) Poulin was called to the Senate
of Canada in 1995. Her web site is not yet "live".

Inc.
An ergonomics consulting firm specializing in office and industrial
ergonomics. The web site provides information on corporate ergonomic
issues, staff education programs in ergonomic principles, and services
to implement & manage an ergonomics program. |

Located east of Orleans, Ontario, Proulx
Sugar bush and Berry Farm needed a more dynamic, yet
business-like web site to draw visitors and groups to the farm for
its wide range of events and activities. Not only does the farm
have produce for sale but its Pancake House and Mysterious Forest
cater to visitors of all ages.

The Drive
for the Podium Golf Tournament supports the Mark Lowry
Memorial Sport Excellence Fund. Mark Lowry, who died of pancreatic
cancer in October of 2005, was an incredible leader who brought tremendous
passion and infectious enthusiasm to everything he did. He was a mentor
and inspiration to
so many, and touched nearly every facet
of Canadian amateur sport. Dodge Ink Inc provides the web site for
the event. |

Canada
Physical and Health Education Canada has a new site with new tools
including a Members Only area and an Advocacy Action Centre. The
web site provides a unique opportunity for teachers, administrators,
researchers, coaches, students and others to benefit from CAHPERD
advocacy materials while being up to date with the latest physical
activity, physical education and health news. |

An Evening
with Abigail
In May 2000 Abigail’s army of tireless cancer survivors and
volunteer activists launched the inaugural “An Evening with
Abigail”. The event was repeated in 2001 and 2003. Close to
half a million dollars has been raised to date. The goal is to raise
awareness and research funding for breast cancer and all women’s
cancers. |

Squash Canada
Squash Canada has a player oriented site with regular releases circulated
through an email subscription and online store. The site features
stand-alone Championships sites with online registration and online
draws and results. |

CAAWS
The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport
and Physical Activity site includes an Advocacy Action Centre, online
poll and 6 standalone program sites. CAAWS is in business to encourage
girls and women to get out of the bleachers, off the sidelines,
and onto the fields and rinks, into the pools, locker rooms and
board rooms of Canada. |

ACTive
ACTive is a Canadian Strategy focused on increasing physical activity
and sport opportunities for girls and women by encouraging groups
to Take Action. The site is completely inter-active, allowing organizations
to register and update their plans to improve opportunities for girls
and women. |

Squash BC
The Squash BC web site has been dynamically redesigned to better serve
the squash players of British Colombia. The site features secure online
registration for tournaments, membership and clinics, as well as an
eBay-style online auction. All secure. |

Coaching Association of Canada Women
in Coaching
The CAC's Women in Coaching program is a national campaign to increase
the number of coaching opportunities for women in Canada, at all levels
of sport. Since 1987, over 400 women coaches have benefited from this
program. Dodge Ink. Built an online mentor application to the assist
the program in matching coaches and mentors across the country.
Dodge Ink also created the Canadian
Journal for Women in Coaching. |
