Women Sport Pakistan

Pakistan, women in sport, is not a new sport. Women are active in various sports in Pakistan and have already participated in national, regional and international competition and their number is significantly increasing day-by-day, month and year. Lately, they have been organized under Pakistan association for Women Sport. It is affiliated with the national sports organization. Pakistan has been active in promoting women in sports through out the country. The Pakistan women have participated the Badminton, table tennis, tennis, summing, softball, teakawondo, judo, Cricket, Hockey and many more sports in the world. Pakistan has done a research on women’s involvement in sports and their participation in decision-making level in national sports federation and sports organizations. The association has organized the seminar, coaching clinic and workshops on women and sports.

Enhancing confidence and leadership skills is fundamental to women obtaining a more equitable role in society in Pakistan. Women’s participation in sports is an excellent venue for developing the necessary skills for empowering women with confidence and developing decision-making and leadership skills for future life. Gathering women who participate in sports or those persons who play a leadership role in such activities from various parts of Pakistan, along with a number of international participants is one means of enhancing this opportunity. It can provide a chance for a cross-cultural exchange of ideas and address issues common to women throughout the world.

The Pakistan Women to the broader in country and out country international and domestic arena of women in sports.

Promote the importance of sports as mean for bridging cross-culture difference and conflict and engendering attitude, which enhance cooperation, peace and development in the country and internationally.

Provide an opportunity to learn more and discuss about common issue particularly women in sports and their participation in decision-making level.

Promote others to the development need of Pakistan particularly those relating to young women.
